UAF Graduate School
The Graduate School supports the creativity and productivity of our graduate ³ÉÈËӰƬ as they pursue their discoveries here at UAF. We oversee graduate programs, academic processes and policies at UAF. We support grad ³ÉÈËӰƬ through our professional development and training programs, orientation programs, social and wellness events, advisory board, and scholarships and fellowships. We work closely with departments and programs to follow ³ÉÈËӰƬ’ progress and are ready to help with questions and concerns. We host a student advisory board to guide our practices and programming.

The University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks offers post-baccalaureate certificates, graduate certificates, master's degrees and doctoral degrees, and it supports professional licenses. In addition to degrees in distinct disciplines, we offer a graduate interdisciplinary program where ³ÉÈËӰƬ can design a degree that draws on multiple disciplines.

UAF enrolls over 1,000 ³ÉÈËӰƬ in graduate studies from all 50 states, and numerous territories and countries around the world. Our ³ÉÈËӰƬ pursue both professional and research degrees. Graduate study areas span the arts, business, education, engineering, humanities, Indigenous studies, and social and natural sciences.

Paul H. McCarthy Award accepting applications

Individual undergraduate and graduate ³ÉÈËӰƬ from all disciplines at the University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ are eligible and invited to apply for an award of $2,500 to support their research using the ³ÉÈËӰƬ and Polar Regions Collections and Archives at the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library. One award is available annually. The deadline to apply is Nov. 3, 2024, by 11:59 p.m.
