Earthquakes are a part of life in ³ÉÈËӰƬ, with the state experiencing more seismic activity than any other in the U.S. The Great ³ÉÈËӰƬ ShakeOut serves as a critical reminder to review and practice what to do when one occurs. Whether you're a lifelong ³ÉÈËӰƬn or new to the state, it's vital to know how to respond effectively and safely during an earthquake.

It used to bother me that my Denakk'e name doesn't have a known meaning. Today though, I'm proud to have a name that has survived against all odds. You see, who I am today as an Athabascan person has also survived against the odds. For me to be here today, my ancestors had to survive for time immemorial and one of the harshest climates in the world.
