There are many scholarship opportunities for English ³ÉÈËӰƬ at UAF.

The first step in the scholarship process is to visit the UAF Financial Aid website and begin the paperwork process. The deadline for this is February 15.

Scholarship opportunities within the department

There are various scholarships available to English ³ÉÈËӰƬ. Please contact the department for more information.

 

Purpose: To provide scholarships for undergraduate ³ÉÈËӰƬ in any field of study enrolled in a creative writing class at the University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks.

Amount: $500

 

Purpose: For ³ÉÈËӰƬ pursuing a BA in English with an emphasis in literature at the University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks.

Amount: $1000

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for tuition of educational expenses to undergraduate or graduate creative writers at the University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks.

Amount: $1000

Purpose: To provide scholarships for University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks undergraduate and graduate ³ÉÈËӰƬ who are seeking a degree offered through the College of Liberal Arts and have financial need.

Amount: $1000

Purpose: To provide scholarships to Freshman in any field of study. This scholarship is meant to encourage excellence in writing and the use of English.

Amount: $500

*This award opportunity is granted at the Department of English faculty members' discretion and cannot be applied for in Kaleidoscope

Purpose: For graduate ³ÉÈËӰƬ majoring in creative writing at the University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks.

Amount: Three recipients will be awarded $1000 each.

 

*This award opportunity is granted at the Department of English faculty members' discretion and cannot be applied for in Kaleidoscope

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for tuition and other related educational expenses to ³ÉÈËӰƬ who are newly enrolled in UAF's Master of Fine Arts (MFA) Creative Writing program. Preference will be given to ³ÉÈËӰƬ who are a member of, or eligible membership in, a Federally Recognized Tribe in ³ÉÈËӰƬ.

Amount: $4000
