Student care
The Office of Rights, Compliance and Accountability (ORCA) recognizes that ³ÉÈËӰƬ may experience unique challenges or hardships while attending the University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks (UAF); therefore, we strive to support ³ÉÈËӰƬ during unforeseen extenuating life events in order to achieve student success and maximize personal wellness. Students are supported and empowered by the ORCA through Student CARE services, such as the Student CARE Team.
Our Student CARE Team will respond to reports of ³ÉÈËӰƬ' well-being concerns (e.g., ³ÉÈËӰƬ facing health issues, unexpected emergencies, or life changes) – providing support and intervention to ensure ³ÉÈËӰƬ continue to feel safe, productive, and valued. This team regularly collaborates with staff, faculty, and is responsible for the UAF CARE Team.
