Music department to host scholarship donor recital
The UAF Music Department is putting on its scholarship donor recital at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, in the Davis Concert Hall.
Initially planned for April 2020, the recital will pay homage and tribute to the benefactors and friends of the Music Department who have donated money and scholarships. All of the department鈥檚 成人影片 and faculty will be performing.
One piece, 鈥淔lying Free,鈥 will be a collaborative performance between the String Ensemble and the Choir of the North. Another will be a commissioned piece from Emerson Eads, an alumnus of UAF, who wrote 鈥淕ive Me Room鈥 in honor of Steve Holmberg. Holmberg, a 1989 alumnus, endowed a position in the Music Department for a faculty member focused on voice and choir; this position is currently held by Professor Jaunelle Celaire.
