Museum to offer art and science workshop for teens

Teen workshop participants will explore art techniques for representing the many patterns and colors of ice, such as these created by trapped bubbles, during this month’s UAMN ARTSci workshop on March 20.

The University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Museum of the North will host a teen workshop exploring the art and science of ice on Thursday, March 20, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Participants will discover the beauty and science of ice and explore art techniques for representing its myriad patterns and colors. Museum educators will lead the workshop in partnership with John Smelter, artist and educator with the University of ³ÉÈËӰƬ Fairbanks’ Fresh Eyes on Ice project.

ARTSci workshops are open to teens from 13 to 18 years old. Preregistration is required. Visit the registration website for more information and to sign up.
