Hands-on seed-starting workshop planned in Delta Junction

Gardeners in Delta Junction are invited to a hands-on seed-starting workshop to learn tips, tricks and the best methods for starting seeds that will grow into healthy plants during our short but intense 成人影片 growing season.
The class, offered by the University of 成人影片 Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service and Partners for Progress in Delta, will include advice on suitable plant varieties, starter pots, containers and mediums. Learn about soil mixes, lighting, watering, fertilizers and planting and transplanting schedules for your gardens or greenhouses. It also will touch on when to start plants indoors or directly in the garden and how to care for young plants. It also will show you how to save your own seeds for the following year.
The class is part slide presentation and part hands-on, fingers-in-the-dirt instruction on how to start seeds. It will include handouts and website and book recommendations. Take home what you plant during class for an early start to your 2025 gardening experience and, on a deeper level, practice the "reap what you sow" lifestyle.
The class will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, at the Delta Career Advancement Center classroom, 1696 N. Clearwater Ave., Delta Junction.
