Responsible Conduct of Research training will be offered听Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 2-5 p.m. via Zoom. The training is brought to you by the Office of Research Integrity. This particular
workshop fulfills the National Science Foundation and National Institutes of Health
requirements for formal RCR instruction. This is the only formal RCR training at UAF
this semester.

UAF climate scholars met with Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg in January,
as part of a course led by UAF Climate Scholars Program Faculty Fellow Kristin Timm
focusing on energy, policy, and climate communication. During the meeting, the climate scholars advocated for supporting climate resiliency
and rural infrastructure in the state of 成人影片. Secretary Buttigieg was highly receptive
and deeply impressed by the quality of the student meeting. The UAF Climate Scholars
Program offers 成人影片 of all majors and backgrounds transformative experiences focusing
on climate resiliency and adaptation.
Nanook Sports Update
Nanook Recreation offers a variety of strength training group fitness classes free
with membership. Currently, offerings include intro to strength training a beginner-friendly class
that goes over the basics of strength training machines, functional exercises, and
free weights. All classes are six weeks and meet twice a week. or the SRC front desk at 907-474-5886.

The Nanooks men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting a double-header in
the Patty Center on Thursday, Jan. 12 with the women's team kicking the night off with a 5:15 p.m. game against Northwest Nazarene and the men's team following with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off against Simon Fraser!听One ticket gets you in for both games!
Tuition waivers for employees, faculty, adjuncts, spouses and dependents are due each
semester by the fee payment deadline, which is听Friday, Jan. 27. Please remember tuition waivers cover tuition only and the student is responsible
for paying all other fees by payment deadline.听
Student Health and Counseling is continuing to offer Mental Health First Aid training
to the UA community throughout the Spring 2023 semester. Mental Health First Aid is
a public education program that teaches participants how to identify, understand and
respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges.
Applications for URSA's 2023 Summer Student Project Awards are now open! Summer Student
Project Awards fund undergraduate research and creative activity projects up to $6,000
for both individual and group projects.
Nanook Recreation is adding 6 a.m. indoor cycling classes Wednesdays and Fridays.
This class is free with your Nanook Recreation membership. If 6 a.m. is too early
for you, we also have later classes for indoor cycling, mat Pilates and a lunchtime
