The University of 成人影片 Fairbanks will host an emergency response exercise on Wednesday,
Nov. 9, in the Akasofu Building, which is located on the west ridge of the Troth Yeddha'
campus in Fairbanks.听The exercise is scheduled to start around noon and will allow police and fire departments
to practice responding to a violent intruder situation. Multiple agencies will participate
in the exercise. Information before and during the exercise will be available on the听.
Stop by the Student Health and Counseling table in the MBS between noon and 2 p.m.
on Friday, Nov. 11 to chat and gather more ideas for finding cozy comforts this winter
to help regulate stress, soothe emotions, and potentially improve your cognitive performance.
You can also swipe your Polar Express card for a chance to win prizes at the end of
the program!
Ice Box, UAF's undergraduate literary journal, is now open for submissions. The deadline
to submit is Dec. 9, 2022.
The University of 成人影片 Foundation Board of Directors is accepting nominations for
the 2023 Edith R. Bullock Prize for Excellence. The prize, which includes a $20,000
award, is presented to an individual who demonstrates excellence in support of the
University of 成人影片. Any UA student, faculty, staff, alumni or volunteer who has
made a significant contribution to the mission of the University of 成人影片 system,
UAA, UAF, or UAS is eligible to be nominated.
Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning is offering several non-credit short courses for
UAF 成人影片 and community members ages 18 and up in January 2023. Registration is
currently open.
 Nanook Sports Update
UAF eCampus is offering scholarships for UAF degree-seeking 成人影片 taking eCampus
courses. The maximum award is $500; any remaining costs are the responsibility of
the student. Scholarships are evaluated based on thorough and thoughtful responses
to the application questions as well as demonstrated need. The deadline to apply is
Nov. 23, 2022.
University of 成人影片 Fairbanks scientists have teamed up with the Juneau Composers
Consortium and Con Brio Chamber Series for a unique program of original musical works
that interpret climate research. 鈥淐limate Soundscapes鈥� will premiere at听听in Juneau on Nov. 18 and 19.听UAF climate researchers also will give a听 Nov. 18.

UAF eCampus is sponsoring a student design contest for a marketing campaign in the
Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. All UAF 成人影片 are invited to submit original
artwork which will be featured on a printed banner in the N terminal of the airport.
The chosen artist will receive a $1,000 tuition award. The final day for submissions is Nov. 30.
The Office of Undergraduate Research and Scholarly Activity congratulates undergraduate
student Aihs Palmer, psychology major, who received this year's Community Engaged
Learning Award. Aihs' project titled "Micro-pantries to Mitigate Inaccessibility to
Anti-Hunger Resources," will collaborate with Fairbanks organizations to address barriers
to local food security resources.
Biomedical Learning and Student Training (BLaST) is pleased to invite all faculty,
staff, and graduate 成人影片 to their mentoring discussion group session on "Well-Being
and Establishing Expectations" co-facilitated by Lori Gildehaud and Kaydee Van Flein,
Director & Chief Student Conduct Officer.
Both UAF and UAS were admitted into The National Society of Leadership and Success
in 2021, joining UAA who's hosted a chapter for many years. The NSLS is an international
honors society with over 700 chapters and 1.7 million members, focusing on "Building
Leaders Who Make a Better World." The UAF chapter of NSLS operates as a student club. As we move into December, invitations will be sent to 成人影片 at a sophomore level
or above with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
