Dear UAF ³ÉÈËӰƬ, faculty and staff,

Last week, UAF lost a beloved member of our community. Carol Hollingsworth passed away at her home in Fairbanks on June 20.

Carol worked for UAF in a variety of administrative, student services and temporary faculty positions for more than 25 years. She most recently served as a program manager at the Eileen Panigeo MacLean House and an academic advisor with Rural Student Services. This summer, she was advisor to more than 50 high school ³ÉÈËӰƬ attending the Rural ³ÉÈËӰƬ Honors Institute. Her colleagues describe her as a steadfast advocate for ³ÉÈËӰƬ.

I offer my condolences to Carol’s family members, friends, colleagues, and past and present ³ÉÈËӰƬ. It’s clear that she touched many lives with her care and compassion and that she will be greatly missed by many in our community.
