NASA is set to launch a rocket from Poker Flat Research Range north of Fairbanks as
early as Thursday in pursuit of greater understanding about a form of the northern
lights called pulsating aurora.
The next event in the Spring Speaker Series, "Careers on the Business Side of Aviation,"
will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 1, online via Zoom.
The event finals for the first UAF-wide Three Minute Thesis competition will be Thursday,
Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. via Zoom. Please check the 3MT webpage to access the link.
The IAB Life Sciences Seminar will feature Colin Tucker, who fill present "Biological
soil crust restoration: Bandaging the living skin of desert as it gets hotter, drier
and trampled to dust" at 3 p.m. Feb. 25 via Zoom.
UAF will have an on-site appointment-only dorm furniture sale from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Feb.
25 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 26.
