³ÉÈËӰƬ

Daniel M. White, UAF chancellor
I am very pleased to welcome you to the start of the academic year. It is a great privilege to serve as your new chancellor. I know some of you from my previous roles here at UAF and with the statewide system, and I look forward to meeting many more of you in the coming weeks and months.

In the tradition of ³ÉÈËӰƬ summers, we still have construction going on, especially on the Troth Yeddha’ campus. Some older buildings are getting much-needed repairs and replacements, and workers are putting the finishing touches on the new engineering building this semester, getting its classrooms and labs ready for ³ÉÈËӰƬ in January. No matter where you work, please, always be aware of your surroundings, and help others stay alert and safe.

I look forward to celebrating UAF at convocation Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m. in the Davis Concert Hall. Communication and collaboration will make us a stronger institution. As we go forward together, I’ll be interested in hearing your goals and aspirations. Thank you for your commitment to UAF.
