Universe, baby and Other Weirdness

The College of Liberal Arts invites you to the MFA thesis defense of N贸ra McIntyre, an exciting showcase of genre-bending storytelling that blurs the line between the real and the surreal.
Universe, baby and other Weirdness is a collection of short and flash fiction, poetry, and a hybrid novella. The pieces in this work employ supernatural, surreal, or otherwise strange elements in order to explore themes of love, monstrosity, loneliness, and loss. Through dreamlike narratives and unconventional forms, McIntyre invites readers into worlds both haunting and deeply human, where the bizarre becomes a lens for emotional truth.
This is an opportunity to engage with innovative storytelling and support a rising literary voice as she presents her creative work.
